Installation Retrofit of G12 LED lamps provides an easy, cost-cutting alternative to metal halide HID fixtures by replacing them with high intensity discharge (HID), high pressure sodium (HPS) or both technologies - thus eliminating costly lift rentals and retrofitting! Simply bypass or remove the ballast from each fixture; no expensive lift rental will be necessary! Retrofitting requires no special tools and will take less than an hour! Before installing Bi Pin led bulbs, it is recommended that the ballast be disconnected or removed to save energy and enhance reliability. Doing this will save energy costs and increase savings. Be sure to disconnect all wires attached to trigger, ballast and capacitor components so there is no risk of high voltage entering through plugs. If possible, remove ballast, capacitor and trigger from fixture altogether if possible; don't operate within an enclosed or airtight fixture.
